Meridian Residence

A long, narrow kitchen — the shape most likely to be badly planned. The solution was to keep one wall entirely uninterrupted as a work run, and load all storage, appliances and display onto the other.

Greige lacquer above and below, a continuous stone worktop and splashback, and a recessed light channel that runs the full length of the ceiling to pull the eye down the room rather than across it.

Display shelving is set into the tall run at a single height. It's the only place the kitchen is allowed to be decorative.
