Lotus Suite

A suite of bedrooms for the same house, designed to feel related without repeating. Each one keeps the ceiling plain, the lighting recessed and warm, and puts all the material interest at the head of the bed.

The principal room takes a deep navy upholstered headboard against panelled ivory; the second turns to soft grey with a floating console; the third goes darkest, in forest green, with the bed set against the colour rather than in front of it.

No downlights over the bed, no pattern above waist height, no reflective surfaces facing the pillow. The restraint is the point — these are rooms designed for the hour before sleep.
