A family villa in a softer, more classical register — and the full joinery set that made it buildable.
Where the Dubai work is spare, Al Reef Villa 17 is warm and furnished. Exposed timber beams, sage-green cabinetry, aged brass and deep walnut give the house an unhurried, almost domestic-European calm — the kind of interior that looks as though it has been added to over years rather than specified in one pass.
The brief ran the whole house: living and kitchen as a single open volume, a daybed corner off the entrance corridor, a powder room, master bedroom and bathroom, a games room, a study, and the outdoor terrace beyond.
What sets this project apart is what happened after the renders were approved. The kitchen was documented as a complete twenty-sheet production set — elevations, sections, carcass drawings, exploded isometrics, hardware and material callouts for every cabinet from A to P. Millimetre dimensions, MR MDF thicknesses, veneer and PU finish codes, stone top specifications. It is the least glamorous part of the work and the reason the built room matches the image.
